Keyboarding skills are more important than ever with 82% of all careers requiring some level of computer proficiency. This session will provide insights into the need for schools to develop strong keyboarding education programs and the academic and career specific advantages of a strong keyboarding skill. Teacher tools and resources will be provided to help enhance and accelerate keyboarding programs in elementary and middle schools. Participants will also be able to demo the Learning Lights Keyboard, a new teaching tool that allows key visibility to be turned on or off during keyboarding practice.
